The Olive Room

This bathroom was completely reimagined from the ground up. What was once a traditional tub surround was converted into a spacious walk-in shower, creating a more open and functional layout while giving us the opportunity to bring in some incredible details. The entire room was color drenched in a rich green, carrying the color across the walls, ceiling, trim, doors, and molding. To create depth without introducing another color, we played with sheen. The walls were finished in satin, the ceiling in matte, and the accent wall molding in semi-gloss. As the light moves through the room, the subtle change in finish highlights the millwork and gives the walls another layer of dimension. Inside the shower, glossy deep-green tile contrasts with the patterned floor and warm wood vanity, while polished plumbing fixtures and frameless glass keep the space feeling refined. One of our favorite construction details is the shower curb: the floor tile continues up and around the curb with mitered edges, creating a seamless transition rather than treating the curb as a separate element.
