Can microcement go over tile, hardwood or terrazzo?
This is the whole job. Bare concrete needs almost nothing; hardwood has to come up entirely because timber moves and microcement doesn't. Tile and terrazzo need grinding and a levelling coat before we start.
What each choice does to the price
Measured against a typical Tampa microcement & surface, which runs $2,500 – $5,000. These are the same figures our estimator uses, not a national average.
| Existing floor | Effect on the total |
|---|---|
| Bare concreteNothing to remove | Baseline |
| LVP or vinyl | +$400 |
| Tile | +$600 |
| Terrazzo | +$600 |
| HardwoodHas to come up | +$1,150 |
Differences are what the choice adds to an otherwise identical project. Your own number depends on size, condition and what the walls are hiding — which is what the walkthrough is for.
