Cost guides
What every choice actually costs
Not national averages. These are the figures behind our own estimator, broken down one decision at a time.
Kitchens
$11,900 – $75,650How much does a kitchen remodel cost by size in Tampa?Square footage sets the cabinet run, the countertop yardage and the labor days. It's the single biggest lever on the whole number. What do kitchen cabinets cost in Tampa?Cabinets are usually 30–40% of a kitchen. Inset doors cost more than shaker because every door is hand-fitted to its opening, not hung on the face. What do kitchen countertops cost in Tampa?Standard granite and quartz sit at the same price here. Quartzite and marble cost more to buy, and more to cut — they chip if you rush them. How much should I budget for kitchen appliances? This is the widest single swing in the whole estimate — about $20,000 between keeping what you have and a luxury package. Plenty of our clients reuse a two-year-old fridge and put the money into cabinets. How much does a kitchen island cost in Tampa? An island is cabinets, countertop and finished panels on all four sides. Add a sink or a cooktop and you're also moving plumbing, electric and venting through the slab.Does kitchen layout change the cost of a remodel?A single wall is the cheapest kitchen there is — one run of plumbing, one run of electric. Every corner and every island adds cabinet boxes and cut countertop. What does new kitchen lighting cost?Recessed cans mean opening the ceiling and pulling new circuits. Under-cabinet is the upgrade people notice every single day and rarely budget for. What do kitchen plumbing fixtures cost?Faucets are the one place a cheap choice shows up fast. The gap between budget and designer here is real money but it's under $3,100 — small next to the rest. What does new kitchen flooring cost in Tampa? If we're pulling cabinets anyway, this is the cheapest it will ever be to do the floor. Doing it later means pulling the toe kicks back off. What does it cost to move a wall in a Tampa kitchen?A load-bearing wall means an engineer's letter, a beam, a permit and an inspection. It's the most common reason a remodel budget moves after signing, so we'd rather price it now.
Bathrooms
$4,000 – $30,000+How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Tampa?A powder room has two fixtures and no waterproofing. A master has a shower pan, a tub, two vanities and twice the tile — it's a different trade entirely. How much do bathroom finishes change the price? This is the biggest lever in a bathroom — high-end nearly doubles the number. It's not the labor, it's the tile, the slab, the vanity and the fixtures. What if there's water damage behind the tile?Florida bathrooms hide water damage behind tile. If there's soft subfloor or mould under the pan, that's repair work before a single new thing goes in.What does a tub-to-shower conversion cost in Tampa?Taking out a tub means re-pitching the floor and rebuilding the drain. Curbless costs more because the slab has to be cut down so water still runs the right way. What does frameless shower glass cost?Frameless glass is thicker, custom-measured after the tile is set, and takes a second visit. That's the cost — not the glass.
Microcement
$2,000 – $18,000What does microcement cost in Tampa?Microcement goes over what's already there, so most of the cost is surface preparation rather than the material. Each surface prepares differently, which is why we ask about them one at a time. What does a microcement floor cost by size?Microcement runs about $10 a square foot on floors, but small jobs cost more per foot because the crew, the mixing and the cure time are the same whether it's 80 feet or 800.Can microcement go over tile, hardwood or terrazzo? This is the whole job. Bare concrete needs almost nothing; hardwood has to come up entirely because timber moves and microcement doesn't. Tile and terrazzo need grinding and a levelling coat before we start. What does wall prep add to a microcement job?Microcement is 2–3mm thick. It follows whatever is underneath rather than hiding it, so anything textured, tiled or damaged has to be made flat first — that's the uplift, and it's why two identical rooms can price differently.
